Iced beverages added with sliced cuts of fruits are now receiving attention this summer. Some of beverage manufacturers are suggesting a new fashion of drinking iced tea or apple cider vinegar added with fresh fruits such as blueberry, lemon, kiwi fruit, strawberry and the like. Such an iced drink served in a tumbler or cup has also a “cool” appearance in the summer season.
Unilever Japan Customer Marketing Co., Ltd., well known with its brand of Lipton, based at Meguro-ku, Tokyo, is marketing a new drink of iced tea named “Fruits in Tea” at its special shop located in the busy streets of Omotesando, Tokyo. The sales will continue until the end of August.
At Lipton’s summer-seasonal shop in Omotesando, customers enjoy selecting a favorite tea as well as fruits and/or herb leaves to be put into the iced tea drink. The tea added with fresh fruits is served in a tumbler (580 mL). After drinking the tea, they can also enjoy the taste of cold fruits.
Mizkan Holdings Co., Ltd., one of major seasoning manufactures in Japan, headquartered at Handa-shi, Aichi prefecture, is widely publicizing a new recipe named as “Fruit Vinegar-Water,” which is a vinegar drink such as apple vinegar added with fresh fruits.
Mizkan continues to appeal its recipe of “Fruit Vinegar-Water” through its web site and distribute the recipe cards at fruits sections of supermarkets in many cities.
